Creamy Cashew Chai Latte

This creamy cashew chai latte is just what you need to keep you warm this holiday season. First, how is it November already?! It seems like just a week ago I was excited for September and now the holidays are just around the corner. Has it snowed where you live yet? We haven’t had any snow yet, but the weather is slowly starting to cool. My morning walks to work are definitely getting a little colder!  This weekend, I was craving a warm, comforting drink and I unexpectedly made the best vegan latte recipe I’ve ever had. I knew I wanted to make a latte recipe this month, but I didn’t expect to make one like this. Can you believe that this latte doesn’t contain any milk at all? Yet, it’s absolutely creamy. Instead…

October Favorites (2017)

Fall is here and I couldn’t be more excited! Well, I could be if I didn’t have my big dietetic exam to write in a month… But I love fall and October may be one of my favorite months of the year (right after September). I am a little sad that the leaves are now falling and that the autumn colors are slowly leaving us, but I’m still excited for the holidays and the cozy weather to come. Many things have happened over the last month and I’m excited to share them with you today! So I won’t make you wait any longer, here are a few of my favorite things this month: Fall Wedding As you may know, we recently got engaged! Shaun proposed on September 16 and…

Date-Sweetened Apple Crumble Bars

I found a way to use up all my apples this year. Date-Sweetened Apple Crumble Bars. I’m making these on repeat until I’m done with the 20lbs bag of apples we picked. I should start by saying that these apple crumble bars are not only sugar-free, but they’re also gluten-free, vegan and nut-free! Most importantly, they’re incredible (despite what you may think of something that’s gluten-free, vegan, nut-free and sugar-free). To be honest, Shaun and I ate 2/3 of the recipe over the first day I made it. It’s another one of those addictive dessert recipes. If I learned something since I stopped eating sugar, it’s that you can still make sweet, addictive recipes sweetened with fruit. Of…

Spiced Chia Applesauce

This spiced chia applesauce is part one of a recipe I’m really excited to share with you guys this week! It may be part of another recipe, but I wanted to share it on its own, since it’s perfectly delicious eaten as is. I’ll even say that it’s the best applesauce I’ve ever had (honestly). And this Friday, I’m sharing a delicious apple dessert recipe that uses it.  My fridge is currently full of applesauce from the many batches I tested over the weekend. I have to say, it was a good way to use up my 20lbs bag of apples – If you’re looking for more sugar-free apple recipes, I also love my sugar-free apple crisp and healthy caramel apple slices. Like…

Seriously Addictive No-Bake Seedy Granola Bars

If I could eat only one thing for the rest of my life, I would choose these seriously addictive no-bake seedy granola bars. I can honestly make a batch of these bars and eat almost half of it throughout the day. One for a morning snack, one with lunch, one as an afternoon snack and one or two in the evening… Half of the batch, gone. Oups. I could also make a batch and eat 2 or 3 bars before I even add on the chocolate. Like I said, they’re addictive! Probably not a good thing for someone with a sugar addiction. They may not have any added sugar, but that doesn’t stop them from being addictive. It doesn’t help that I’ve had a hard time with the photography for…
