January Coffee Break

The first month of 2019 is almost over, which means it’s time for our January coffee break! 2019 is a big year for us and it’s off to a good start. We started the year in California on our big west coast road trip (details here!) and we’re slowly getting ready for our wedding in September and our big honeymoon to come after. All of that, plus lots of travelling, job changes, a possible move and lots of blog projects. Needless to say, it’s a busy, yet exciting year for us. We just came back from a weekend in Vancouver, our second road trip of the month. I was there for a two day course on tube feeding and intravenous feeding – In only a few months, I’ll be starting a…

December Coffee Break

One last coffee break before the New Year. As I’m writing this, Shaun and I are in San Francisco. We left on Christmas day for our road trip across the West coast. So far, we’ve been to Portland and Crescent City and we’ve driven across the redwood parks here in California. I’ll share my favorite photos on the blog once we’re back home, but so far, this trip has been busy and absolutely wonderful. We’ll be driving along the California coast for the next few days and I couldn’t think of a better way to end 2018. Now let’s move on to our December coffee break! Reflecting on 2018 2018 was a big year. It was my first full year working as a dietitian, we…

November Coffee Break

I’m here for another coffee break post! In a way, it feels like forever since I last wrote a coffee break post, but then again, November just flew by. How is it December tomorrow already?! For this coffee break post, I don’t have a new recipe, but I can share what I’ve been drinking a lot of lately: My peppermint mocha of course. I’m drinking one as I’m writing this. I can’t get enough of this cozy drink this time of year. If you haven’t tried it already, you need to make it. Trust me, it’s life-changing. I also finished off a new batch of vegan cashew eggnog and I’m planning on making another one this weekend. Another must-try recipe this holiday season. What’s your go-to drink…

August Favorites

It’s the last day of August (I can’t believe it) and it’s time for my August favorites post! As I’m writing this, I’m sitting in a Starbucks drinking a decaf Americano, on my way to Seattle. It’s my first time in Washington and as we’re living in British Columbia, we’re taking advantage and exploring all the places we can out west! I’m looking forward to a weekend in Seattle exploring the city, trying new vegetarian restaurants and camping at Olympic National Park. Is there anything we need to do or see? Let me know! As we’re getting ready to explore the city, I’ll leave you with my August favorites. Currently Reading This month, I was ambitious and read…

April Favorites (2018)

April has been a busy month over here. Not only did we celebrate a few birthdays, I’ve been busy behind the scenes working on a few projects for the blog, which I’m excited to share with you guys next month. I have some exciting giveaways coming soon, along with a challenge for the month of May and of course some recipes! I won’t lie, I’m feeling a little behind on recipe testing and photography right now. Although to be honest, I’ve been feeling like this since I graduated and started working last summer. I’m always overwhelmed by ideas and exciting projects I want to work on, but I never seem to find the time to accomplish everything I want to. I’m also trying to find a…
