5-Ingredient Cookie Dough Bites

5-ingredient cookie dough bites. Made in under 10 minutes in a food processor and filled with wholesome ingredients. What could be better?! Seriously though, cookie dough will forever be my favorite flavor when it comes to snacks and desserts. Ice cream, granola bars, energy bites… Anything. Even better when it’s simple and healthy, which is all you’ll see on the blog over the next few weeks. Did you read my last post? The news is out, Shaun and I are moving to British Columbia! We’re moving to the other side of the country in less than 3 weeks. Not to mention that we’re planning a road trip across Canada to get there. I think it’s safe to say that we’re crazy busy. Packing all of our…

Chickpea-Nut Butter Ice Cream

Chickpea-Nut Butter Ice Cream: Ice cream that’s made with chickpeas, plant-based milk, dates and peanut butter. So basically, a frozen dessert that’s high in fiber, healthy fats, protein (depending on the milk you use) and sweetened with fruit. To be honest, I kept this recipe from you guys since Christmas. I know, so selfish! In my defense, ice cream didn’t feel like an appropriate recipe to share during winter. Especially not with the cold weather we had in December and January. So why did I even make this recipe in December in the first place? Well, because it was supposed to be freezer fudge. Turns out, it had a texture similar to ice cream… I’m not mad about that at all. The other reason I kept this recipe hidden for…

Spiced Banana Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting

April is a month full of celebrations for us, so it only made sense that I shared my favorite cake recipe: This spiced banana cake with cream cheese frosting. This recipe is inspired by Snixy Kitchen’s banana date cake, which I made for the first time last April. I haven’t stopped thinking about it since. Since today is my 24th birthday (where does the time go?!), I knew I had to make this cake again – with a few modifications to make it fruit-sweetened. I also made it for Shaun’s birthday (and Easter) on April 1st. Then I made it again last weekend to photograph and to adjust the recipe as needed. Finally, I’m making it one more time this weekend for myself. I mean, it’s my birthday after all and my favorite way…

Mint Matcha Latte

Saint Patrick’s Day is Saturday and I can’t think of a better way to celebrate than with this mint matcha latte… In the morning. Of course you may prefer celebrating with alcohol at night if that’s your thing. Honestly, I’ve never done anything special for Saint Patrick’s Day. It’s just not something my family or friends ever did. But now, I’m happy for an occasion to create more green recipes. So today, I’m here with another cozy drink recipe – A mint matcha latte. Just in time for Saint Patrick’s day. A cozy drink recipe also seemed appropriate since we’ve been getting a good amount of snow lately. We had a small snow storm last week and we&#8217…

Warm Turmeric Ginger Milk

Making winter days a little better with this warm turmeric ginger milk. Not only is it warm and comforting, but this milk’s bright color is such a happy sight on a cloudy day like this one.  We’re expecting rain for the next couple of days, which makes me crave spring even more. I usually love winter, but this one has been dreadful. We were basically stuck inside from the end of December to the beginning of January due to the extreme cold temperatures. Since then, we’ve been experiencing drastic changes in temperature, which is not ideal for any outdoor activity. We seem to always have a few cold days with snow, followed by mild temperatures and heavy rain. It then freezes again and we’re left with icy roads and trails. Basically…
