Our First 3 Months in British Columbia

It’s been 3 months since we moved to British Columbia and left New Brunswick. 3 full months away from family and friends. I get a lot of questions about our move. People asking how we’re finding it in British Columbia, away from home. The truth is, it’s so much better than I ever expected. I was honestly expecting to miss home a lot more. Don’t get me wrong, I do miss my family and friends (and my dog so much!), but I expected tears at one point, which hasn’t happened yet. I suppose we’ve been too busy to really miss home so far. Whenever we’re not working, we’re exploring everything this beautiful province has to offer. I think it’s safe to say…

May Favorites (2018)

I’m taking a break from recipes today and I’m sharing my May favorites! The weather is finally getting warmer here and I’m getting ready to go on a little backpacking trip with my friend this weekend. We did this trail several times together, but it’s been about 3 years since our last overnight hiking trip… How does the time go by so fast?! I’m excited to be in nature for several days, away from my to-do list. I mentioned to someone at work that I was doing this, to which she responded: There must be an easier way to have fun? Hah! Our Engagement Photos – Part One

I was walking my dog one Thursday night, when my friend texted me and asked if I wanted to go out that night. It was getting late and I had class the next day, but I reluctantly agreed. After running back home to get ready in 10 minutes, my friend came and picked me up. We drove to meet with one of her other friends, who was at her boyfriend’s house. Turns out, her boyfriend was Shaun’s roommate. When I got there, I felt awkward and out of place. Just imagine a shy, introverted girl walking in a room full of strangers. I basically introduced myself and let my friend…

Our Road Trip to Gaspésie in Pictures

We came back from our road trip to Gaspésie one week ago, yet it feels like it was yesterday. It also feels like it was forever ago. How are we September 13 already?! Today is actually Shaun and I’s 4 year anniversary. I guess it would be a good occasion to share some pictures from our last road trip! Some of you may have seen some snaps from our trip to Gaspésie on Instagram. I shared a few on Instagram stories. I had so much fun taking pictures of the gorgeous places we visited, so I thought I’d share some with you. I won’t go on and on about the details of our trip, but I hope you enjoy this little summary filled with pictures of the beautiful Gaspésie scenery. So…
